We offer all-natural, healthy, and hefty 6-pound bags of properly hydrated, omri certified coco coir, supplemented with gypsum. This listing is for four (4) bags of 6-pound substrate. Coco coir is highly regarded for its mold-resistant properties. We do not use vermiculite in our substrate, since it has been shown that nearly all vermiculite contains asbestos, which can cause lung cancer when inhaled. This is all organic substrate. Gypsum, which is a naturally occurring mineral, is used to increase the ph of our substrate. It also delivers minerals and trace elements to the mycelium that it wouldn't get otherwise, therefore increasing your mushroom yields. We closely monitor the 5-hour cooking process from start to finish, ensuring proper pasteurization. This is the perfect blend to go with our 3-pound bags of sterilized grain. This item is made of 2 point 2 mil polypropelene mushroom bag and gypsum, coco coir.
