4x bags of blue oyster grain spawn 3 pounds each - 12 pounds in total - rye and milo grain. This is a second generation spawn that has been expanded to new media. It's roughly a half pound of colonized spawn added to 3 pounds of sterile grain substrate. With this grain spawn you could expand it further on more grain media, or you could use it to inoculate bulk substrate.

Use about 0.25 of a pound per container for expanding grain or inoculating bulk substrate. You should get about 12 expanded containers with this per spawn bag. I maintain a number of first generation spawns and the 7 - 10 days is the amount of time it takes to colonize new blocks with the first generation make it second generation. 3 pound blocks, 4 blocks in package, 12 pounds total. 5in x 4in x 18in unicorn gusseted bag.

Bags are prepared in front of a flow hood. Sterile techniques should be practiced when working with mushroom substrates. Take care to have clean hands and a clean environment.

70% isopropyl alcohol is great for spraying with work area and spawn containers. If possible perform all work in front of a flow hood.
