Ayreden aeroponic vertical garden complete kit (w/ herbs module). This kit includes our newly designed herbs module to grow up to 6 herbs per module. The herbs module uses aerogarden style net pots to maximize growing of herbs in combination with fruits and vegetables on our original module. This is the first low pressure aeroponics vertical garden with the smallest footprint of 7 diameter. Yes you can now place a garden that produces fruits, herbs and vegetables on your kitchen counter or the smallest ikea kitchen cart. We would prefer that you place your garden tower on something more stable but you get our drift. We designed ayreden from the ground up, the size and look made to fit in the smallest space and doesn't distract in your large space either. With a look that fits seamlessly in both contemporary and modern homes, this isn't just a garden tower but an art piece that could be displayed on a plinth. Our manufacturing process is complex but precise. Our modular layers are 3d printed with sustainable and environmentally friendly, non-toxic raw materials made from corn grain. 3d printing is an advance manufacturing method that allows us to create extremely complex shapes and create new products within a matter of days. To further enhance our 3d printed components, we seal them with food grade epoxy resin. This helps to limit bacteria growth and makes it easy to clean. The water reservoir that holds the water and rich nutrients for your plants is made of polyethylene.

It is made to store food, is bpa free and also dishwasher safe. The water tubing used to deliver water to the plants is made for aquaponics and is black to block light to limit algae growth. The water pump is also bpa free and safe for aquaponic use.

Every part of ayreden garden tower can be easily disassembled for periodic cleaning and disinfecting. Our kit includes everything you need to get started to grow herbs and vegetables. Choose from 9, 12 or 15 pots or customize by adding more layers, our kit is completely modular and no tools are required to put it together. It only takes 5 minutes to assemble and includes seed starter tray and complete step by step instructions to germinate your first seeds to populating your garden tower.

We chose the highest quality water pumps and full spectrum led lights with the best in energy savings. The water pump costing only 15 cents a months and led lights $2.50 at an electricity rate of 15 cents per kwh. Below is the breakdown for those who loves math as much as i do. Water pump 9.5 watts 3hr/day using 0.0285kwh per day, daily 0.4 cents, monthly rounded up 15 cents. Led lights 15 watts each, 3 lights 45 watts, 12hr/day using 0.54kwh per day, daily 8 cents, monthly rounded up $2.50.

So if it takes a month to harvest 12 heads of lettuce (assuming that's all you're growing), your total electricity cost is $3. Plus cost of nutrients approximately $1, including seeds and water.

Your total will be no more than $4 (that's in canadian dollars). That's 34 cents per lettuce, pretty affordable. More growing in less space.

Q: how many pots do i need for a household of 2.

A: let's assume you eat lettuce for most of your meals, i would have 3 plants of garden lettuce and maybe another 3 plants of a different variety of lettuce (depending on how much you consume). I would have 3 herbs and gives you 3 for other plants. So 12 plants is great, 15 plants even better to experiment with other variety. The system is expandable so you can add more pots as your needs grow.

Q: what happens if my power goes out for an hour. A: the watering cycle is recommended to run 5mins and stop 40mins. If your power goes out for an hour or 2, the roots of your plants will stay moist but will not die. In the event of a prolong outage, you can manually water your plants every few hours through the top of the tower.
