Sterile agar plates are fantastic for culturing mushrooms, microorganisms, and fungi like yeasts, molds, and bacteria. Corn nutrient agar, perfect for your mushrooms. May arrive as a single stack or in 2 stacks of 5. Pro-tip: after sealing your used/inoculated plates with the inside of the parafilm strip, place your used/inoculated plates in a ziplock bag.

It is highly recommended that you prepare your inoculum in front of a laminar flow hood or at minimum within an (sab) still air box to avoid contamination. All of our products are prepared in front of a laminar flow hood. Natural corn-based agar plates can appear cloudy with specs of starch when held up to a light, making a delicious feast for your mushie babies.

Be sure to check your plates upon arrival you can see through the reusable sleeve(s) without opening them. Store in a cool, dry area like a closet.
