Hazel is a home/indoor hydroponic system that will help you grow fresh vegetables and herbs year-round. It's made for small spaces, is easily customizable, and can grow and change with you. Approximate dimensions: 2' wide x 5' tall x 6 deep.
Because hazel is a closed system, plants are grown with significantly less water than traditional methods. Plants also grow 25-30% faster because the roots are in constant contact with the right amount of nutrients, water, and oxygen. No soil or other substrate is needed. What's special about hazel.

Hazel is a do-it-yourself (diy) parts kit: the parts, assembled as instructed will help you build a home hydroponic garden; however you assume the liability for ensuring everything is correctly assembled, does not leak, and is securely anchored to the wall.
We want you to be successful, so consider us your partners in this diy journey. You must secure hazel to a wall: your hydroponic garden will fall over if you do not secure it to the wall. Included in this package is hardware for securing to drywall. If your wall surface is different, you will likely need different hardware.
You must test the system to ensure there are no leaks: at most, hazel holds 3 gallons of waterso it's not enough to flood your house, but it is enough to cause problems, especially if you have power strips on the floor nearby. There are at least three options to secure your pvc connections: 1 pressure fit together (most likely to leak); 2 wrap inner connections with thread sealing (plumber's) tape (leaks less likely, but certainly possible); 3 use pvc cement (if applied properly, connections are sealed to prevent all leaks). Pvc cement is not included in the kit, but message us if you have questions. When assembled, the hazel kit is intended to be used an indoor hydroponic garden: hazel is intended for growing small plants in an indoor setting. You are responsible for choosing what you grow: specifically, hazel is designed for compact leafy greens, herbs, and other plants with compact root systems.
You're welcome to experiment with your hydroponic garden, but please remember that root mass and other organic matter could cause pipe blockage and leaks. Our best advice: check your experiments frequently, and make sure you've thought through how your plants grow. You assume the risks of eating or consuming what you grow: you choose what you grow, so you also assume any risks associated with consuming it, including the growing method (the hazel system). Don't let children assemble hazel or use hazel without adult supervision.
Included in the kit are a pump and timer with their own respective product safety information.
