A 50l sab with 10 malt extract agar plates. Still air boxes are better and more effective than gloveboxes which are more old-school.
The consensus now is that sabs (still air boxes) work better than gloveboxes at preventing contamination. Work with spores, make clones, isolate strains on agar and do grain to grain transfers with ease while avoiding contamination. Still air boxes work incredibly well when used properly and can even be used to pour your own agar plates with high success rates. They offer a little less freedom to move but are equally as effective as a flowhood when used with proper sterile tequnique.
